Local Dive Sites

Jew Shoal

One of our most popular dive destinations. A short boat trip along the beautiful Noosa River and then 10 minutes out into Laguna Bay brings you to Jew Shoal. The two main sites of the Pin and the Caves are easily dived by all levels of qualification.

The pin starts in 7 metres and drops into 16m, ledges, walls, and crevices too explore display an abundance of bait fish, nudibranchs and wobbegongs. Seasonal mantas and grey nurse sharks even turn up from time to time.
The caves consist of several large swim throughs filled with marine life. a series of bommies starting in 12m and dropping off into 17m deep gutters. Plenty to explore but one for good navigation practise!

Sunshine Reef

The deeper waters of Sunshine reef provide a haven for many species of coral trout, perch, and snapper, to name a few. This is an excellent site for deeper dives and when conditions are kind, the visilibility on these extended reefs make this an excellent dive site. Due to the exposed nature of this site it is not always possible to dive here.

Halls Reef

The protected inner shoals of Halls offer a distinct reef of coffee rock which runs parallel with the North Shore beach. A shallow reef in 12 - 18 meters of water. In the warmer months this region is renowned for schools of pelagic fish such as trevally and mackerel. Wrasse, whiting, surgeonfish and the occasional resident grouper also live on this small but pretty reef.

Wolf Rock

While not exactly a local dive site, we do run the occasional trip when the conditions suit. A sheer pinnacle of rock reaches up to the surface from over 30 meters. The prolific fish life on this outcrop can include coral trout, cod, schools of seasonal mackerel and tuna, one of the few sites where grey nurse sharks can still be encountered, snapper, manta rays, turtles etc. Wolf Rock is quite exposed but with the right conditions this site has the makings for some very spectacular diving. Rated highly by everyone who dives here.
